During my walks on cool spring mornings, the bright pink magnolia blossom against the clear blue sky would make me pause for a moment, smile, feel happy and hopeful.

I often walk to clear my mind, and my creative process often starts with this. I want to capture the awe of looking at the beautiful colours of nature in a painting!
Then the dilemma! How do I create this when I often have trouble even starting a painting? I start to write, it helps me to remove any creative fears, self-doubt and brings emotion to my art. I write whatever comes up (inspired by The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron). It clears my mind to enable the magic to unfold on the canvas. The result is something deeply personal and yet universal. It invites viewers to find their own interpretations.
I hope that my art inspires connection, creativity and healing. At its heart, my work is about stories of hope. Stories without words that live vividly on the canvas and waiting for the viewer to discover their own journey within them.
If you are looking to create something and not sure where to start, spend a few moments writing, whatever comes to mind – it works!
